Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the RepoOps desktop app or the hosted surfaces at repoops.ai. It sets out what you may not do. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms.

1. No illegal or infringing use

• Do not use RepoOps for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Do not use the hosted surfaces to store, process, or transmit content you do not own or have the rights to.
• Do not use RepoOps to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

2. No abuse or overload of the service

• Do not attempt to disrupt, degrade, or overload the service, including denial-of-service attacks or sending automated traffic that exceeds documented rate limits.
• Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without our prior written permission. Responsible disclosure is welcome via our security page.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data that is not yours.

3. No reverse-engineering beyond the license

• The desktop app is licensed, not sold, and is not open source. Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except to the limited extent the LICENSE file or applicable law expressly permits.
• Do not reverse-engineer for the purpose of building a competing product, and do not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works of the desktop app.
• Do not attempt to circumvent license validation on paid tiers.

4. No harming others

• Do not use RepoOps to harass, threaten, defame, or harm others.
• Do not upload or transmit malware, or content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive.
• Do not re-distribute paid content (rule sets, evals, marketplace items) in violation of the original author’s license.

5. Your responsibility for your team

If you own a hosted team, you are responsible for the acts of the users you invite. Make sure they understand and follow this AUP.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access to the hosted surfaces for any account that breaches this AUP. We will give notice and a chance to cure when practical, but we may act immediately where a violation poses a risk to the service, to other users, or to us. Suspension of hosted access does not affect your right to keep using the free localhost desktop app under the LICENSE, unless the breach concerns the license itself.
